Ogre's blog LED breakthrough
A few days ago was the news that the company has developed a Cree LED "bulb" with the possibility of 200 lumens per watt, which means that one's fluo night body as it shines better than the 100-watt incandescent bulb. We have produced pilot series and will soon start mass production. In fact, these units are not suitable to put them in the room. Their purpose is more for outdoor lighting, but it was not small, fluo night because they can achieve fluo night electricity savings of 2 to 10 times the current halogen / mercury / sodium "bulbs." fluo night
Given that recently had news for a major breakthrough in solar batteries, I was the last element of the holy trinity of green technologies that need to be improved - batteries. I hope soon to be able to make a cheap battery that can be charged quickly and with better efficiency and are ready to go at least for the lighting of the "self-powered" :-).

Maybe when they can make 3D printers that can print at a high enough resolution ("nano" or close to "nano") will be able to print supercapacitors, which can be used as batteries.
Hope. The only thing that is worrying for capacitors is that the problem (break) gave pretty impressive fluo night explosion (or at least some of the technologies used). I hope to find a solution to this problem, although it will probably be quite difficult for general availability, in order to preserve the maximum amount of energy to raise the voltage fluo night between the electrodes ...
